Why do people get so hyped up about sporting events? I mean, what is the big deal? They really can't be that much more exciting than what is depicted in this video. I believe people have been fooled and need to be set straight...MATH is where the action is!
If Sam Dittmer can give up a scholarship to Stanford (2nd school for National Championships in sports) to become a BYU-"Math-lete" then there is something to be said about the adrenalin rush that comes from using Taylor Polynomials, derivatives, numerical methods and ordinary and partial differential equations!
